MEMBERS, the board met in Adamstown, Pa on March 18, 2023 and they had one thing on their mind - the CONVENTION! Yes, Members, you need to start planning to attend now. There is a lot for you to do - watch for all the registration documents and with those the information about the upcoming elections, the results of which will be announced at the convention. Our president, Nat Goldstein has been working closely with the convention committee to create programs that reflect the theme of this year's convention -  "East Meets West!" Nancy Miller will be doing a program on Dragons and asks that anyone with a unique dragon piece to bring that along. Linda Lau will be doing a program on Geisha - VERY interesting! Our President-Elect Russ Heckman is doing a presentation on souvenirs. And I will take you on a walk down memory lane (for me) of what it was like to be a westerner in Japan - back in "the day." Of course, Nat has built in fun games and prizes galore. So, plan your trip to the Embassy Suites in Dublin, Ohio from August 10 - 12, 2023.  We want to see YOU!

The Spring E-Journal is now available online on this site in the Members Section, but each member should have received their own copy via email. This Journal had some very important news for you the membership. After all the many years and wonderful ways in which he devoted himself to the club, Ken Steadman has stepped down from the Vice-Presidency. We will all miss him in this position. Everyone would agree that Ken made this a most important position in the club with the way he personalized it - reaching out to engage as many as he could in a one-on-one way. Ken made this position the "face of the INCC." The Journal goes on to announce such VERY good news that Dawn Fisher has stepped right in to fill this vacancy. How fortunate are we that she agreed to take on this monumental task, not just to fill it, but because Dawn is known to the membership already as one who in every way has provided such valuable service to this club over many years. Personal things have taken her away for a time, but now she is back and immediately steps up to serve - we are ALL grateful! Read the Journal for this news, the information about the upcoming convention, and all the wonderful articles we have come to expect from our awesome Journal Editor, Linda Lau.

It was noted, Members, that a few of you have not renewed your membership - yet. We know this is just an oversight but please do so as soon as possible to ensure that you continue to be able to take advantage of all the club has to offer. No one wants to miss any of the wonderful Journals which members in good standing enjoy as premium aspects of membership. If you return to the Home Page, you will see the the banner that still has a clickable button that will take you directly to a page where you can renew and pay by using PayPal - all so very easy, so just do it!

Your 2022 - 2023 INCC Board is anxious to see ALL of you at the convention - (President) Nat Goldstein, (Past President) Joe Tunnell, (President-Elect) Russ Heckman, our brand new Vice-President Dawn Fisher, (Secretary) Nancy Miller, (Treasurer) Jeff Mattison, (Directors): Dennis Benefiel, Jerry Chiles, Rella Clock, and Marie Letizia - also serves as our Event Coordinator- along with Linda Lau (Journal) and Meg Miller (Website). We look forward to visiting with you during the great happy hours our hotel offers its guests and while running in and out of those fun in-room shopping trips trying to beat each other out for the best Nippon! We hope our Japanese Liaison, Tomo Takeuchi, will be able to join us at this year's convention.

So, go take a look at the latest E-Journal in the Member Tools - 2023 Spring INCC E-Journal - we say goodbye to Winter and Hello to Spring with the beautiful "Easter-egg colored" Journal full of all sorts of wonderful things. I can't say it enough, Linda strongly encourages each member to contribute articles to the Journal - any and all are welcome. She gladly accepts articles written by even the most novice (like me) and expertly edits for us all - you will see that this Journal has an article that I wrote! Go to "Member Tools." for the Journals and all other publications JUST FOR YOU, members!

Very important, MEMBERS, when you go to  "Member Tools." you will find the "Member Directory " - keep in mind that these addresses are not to be shared with anyone outside the club.
