Okay, MEMBERS, summer came and summer went and there was no in person INCC convention (which we affectionately refer to as the INCC Family Reunion with people you really want to see)! That made us all sad, but things are looking up. Your board was able to meet in September and we are planning a convention next year - so don't give up hope. The 2022 convention will be at the Embassy Suites in Westerville, Ohio from August 10-12, 2021, with the INCC Auction on Saturday, the 13th. Let's ALL put that on our calendar NOW and save the date. Your upcoming board for 2022 will be led by Joe Tunnell as president, Linda as past president, Nat Goldstein - president-elect, Jeff Mattison - treasurer, Nancy Miller - secretary, and your four directors are: Jerry Chiles, Marie Letizia, Maggie Schoenherr, and Russ Heckman. Also, serving as ex-officio members are Bob Schoenherr in the very important role of Venue Coordinator and Meg Miller, Website.

We want to give Linda, as our president many, many, many thanks for putting together a wonderful online convention. She and Joe are to be commended for the interest it generated from the Facebook members. Nippon items posted for sale "flew off the shelves!" Thanks to all who participated - you made it a success!

Creating the Facebook page has been a wonderful way to reach new people, some of whom have become members. Members, many of you have not joined us. We need your expertise. Facebook offers this club a unique opportunity to reach new people - the person who just inherited a piece of Nippon, or the person who picked up an item that appealed to them when shopping at an estate or garage sale, or a serious collector who for years has been amassing beautiful pieces and never knew about this club. They have questions and members answer. This is our club's way of introducing ourselves to these people and getting to know them - creating in them enough interest that they might join the INCC. Facebook is for EVERYONE - no matter the level of collector! It also remains a good place to sell some of the Nippon you have decided to part with. Of course old friends are there, as well!! Its just a "win-win" for everyone. If you need help with joining, please reach out to Linda, Joe or your friends that you know participate in the page.

We can't let this year's theme go quite yet - 40 FABULOUS YEARS OF NIPPON! Really, how quickly that went by. WE, as a club, are indebted to Joan and the founding members and ALL those who have served and participated through the years to keep this club going. What wonderful friendships have been made! What wonderful things we have learned! (AND, we keep learning - so those upcoming conventions are going to be packed with things you have not yet learned!) Here, in this website, we have endeavored to archive for you the years of the club as preserved through the many types of publications you can find in "Member Tools." Thanks to Linda dusting off some old things she found, I have been able to add a couple of new items that should really make you feel nostalgic - the NIPPON PRIMER and The NIPPON SPOTTER! Remember that with the SPOTTER, you will need Joan's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Nippon Porcelain" handy as a reference! At this point, I think Linda and I have (thanks to Bob and Maggie and others) found everything we can find to add to this page - it seems now complete with all the "good ole stuff."

Okay MEMBERS, there you have it! Go see what you can find in the section ONLY for YOU - "Member Tools." You will see the latest Journal - thank you, Linda - you are such a wonderful editor! If only we could clone her! Should ANYONE be interested in writing an article for the Journal, I am certain Linda would love to publish it - reach out to her and let her know what you might provide.

Don't forget that Member Tools has the most up to date 2021 Member Directory and that the contents are ONLY for members). You can stay in touch with members and start making your plans for the IN person convention in Westerville!
